mobile phoneWhat does a SimCard Reader do actually? Just takes all the data from the SIM Card and makes available for viewing on tyhe internet?

I think while the idea does sound good in theory, I am a little worried that someone might get their hands on the data, so I will pass.

The data are not published on the Internet. The reader will retrieve the stuff for you, but what you do with the data afterwards is up to you.

Jani, if you are comfortable with compiling it from source - we can give it a try. A binary is not available at the moment, and for now we are quite loaded with other tasks so I cannot promise that it will be ready soon.

Paul, a Mac driver is not available, though the device itself is OSX friendly. As in the case above, the driver has to be built for that platform.

Are you just asking because you are looking for something to tinker with? Or is there a serious issue that depends on the availability of the driver?

JaniHi Alex,

I'm also happy with compiling the 64-bit version of the driver from source myself. We are currently working with a 64-bit Linux system and really require your reader to work in that setup as well.

Can you, please tell me where I can get my hands on the source code? I wasn't able to find it anywhere on your web site, and your gz file contained only the binaries.
